1:12am... surprising strong vibes felt right after i fell asleep. was not sure if it was these silent earth tremors that i experience passing by, or something real. it was pretty powerful to make me get out of bed and check on it. i tried to log this last night (sine i was awake and alarmed), but blogger doesn't seem to be compatible with iphones. argh. as i climbed back into bed, it continued to rumble off and on and then disappeared.

pretty funky.

Now I just researched to see recent quakes to compare and got these, and 8 hours ago for us would have been 2:19am:

Gas-line blast in San Bruno - neighborhood burns

With a thunderous roar heard for miles, a natural gas line explosion ripped through a San Bruno neighborhood shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday, sending up a geyser of fire, critically burning residents and igniting a blaze that gobbled up more than a dozen houses. The central ball of fire, fed by the gas line, raged past nightfall before abating. By then, about 20 houses and thick stands of trees were engulfed in flames. Power was cut off to the area, and the only light came from emergency vehicles and the smoldering houses. "I thought it was the biggest earthquake ever," he said.

Hmmm, weird 3 days ago I had this strange vision of a big 'light up' of the sky, that didn't make sense.

last night after I went to bed, about 2:30am, felt a rumble from the bottom of my legs up to my thighs a number of times. today as I putsy around the house for labor day, a few more strong vibes.

10:47pm, bright light in the sky - but not lightning. not sure what it was, but I was aware.

742pm bouncy tremors, that were long and rising. a few happening where I have to stop writing, to feel them, and then start over.

BREAKING NEWS: A massive 7.4 magnitude earthquake has hit Christchurch and the wider South Island, causing widespread damage, two serious injuries and power cuts to most of the city.

The quake was centred 30km west of Christchurch and 33km underground. It hit at 4.35am and there have been many reports of damage, including buildings being flattened and a road being ripped up.

1:30am, while I am reading I feel rumbling that catches my attention.

About 10,000 people have fled their homes in western Indonesia, where a volcano has erupted for the first time in 400 years.

The eruption started Saturday night on Mount Sinabung in North Sumatra province. Smoke and ash shot into the air, and lava could be seen pouring down the mountain.

One man says he ran for his life when he saw the lava coming towards him.

Local officials say there's no major damage and the eruption appears to have stopped.

The government distributed 7,000 masks to refugees and set up public kitchens so people can cook food, said Priyadi Kardono, spokesman for the National Disaster Management Agency.

Mount Sinabung is part of the Pacific ocean's "Ring of Fire," which has more than 100 active volcanoes.
